Dr. Ryan is an expert in infectious diseases of the skin and other skin disorders. In addition to conducting extensive research and clinical trials in the treatment of molluscum contagiosum, he has also published scientific articles on autoimmune diseases of the skin and skin cancer.
He holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree with Alpha Omega Alpha Honors from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with Summa Cum Laude Honors from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
Dr. Ryan completed an internal medicine internship at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco as well as a dermatology residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He is board certified in dermatology.
He has been treating molluscum contagiosum for over 15 years in his private dermatology practice in Dana Point California, seeing thousands of cases. He also is personally battling molluscum contagiosum infection in his three young daughters.
